THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V229000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING); HOWEVER, THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE TO SCHEDULE THE RECALL REPAIR APPOINTMENT WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME FRAME. THE MANUFACTURER SENT THE INTERIM NOTICE MONTHS AGO, BUT HAD NOT SENT THE SECOND NOTICE, VERIFYING THAT THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT NOT TO PARK THE VEHICLE IN THE GARAGE WHILE WAITING FOR THE REPAIR PART. THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT HAVE A TIMEFRAME FOR WHEN THE PART WOULD BE SUPPLIED TO THE DEALER (AUDI OF SMITHTOWN, 578 MIDDLE COUNTRY RD, ST JAMES, NY 11780, (631) 979-6400).
