Radiator hose failed in under 1.5 Years on 2024 Chevy Colorado. Parts are back ordered for months, this is clearly a manufacture defect that could lead to overheating the engine and engine damage and failure
upper radiator fitting is leaking, Chevy is replacing the radiator and the hose
Even when new, the truck would abruptly down shift from 2nd to 1st, every now and then. Then with about 3000 miles on the truck its started doing every time, once the transmission is warmed up. It seemed to get better and then started again with about 4000 miles and kept getting worse. It got so bad that the truck would shudder and it almost felt like I was getting rear ended and you could hear knocking from the transmission. I then turned it in the dealer and when I got it back, the dealer stated that they had to replace a valve in the valve body.
2024 COLORADO TB purchased new on [XXX]. About 3 days later with 150 miles logged parked in my driveway I noticed OIL spots and leaking. Drove to dealer and they kept it for around 3 days. Dealer contacted GM to supply data points and information. GM had a bulletin placed for REAR MAIN OIL SEAL AND GASKET failure they attributed to faulty parts from original plant inside U.S. Dealer received authorization and billed warranty pulled tranny (allegedly) and replaced rear main oil seal gaskets to stop leaks. Had truck back in 3 days with much pressure and calls noting it was a brand new truck. A few quirks and lights I'm monitoring NOT related to this noted issue stated. GM was attempting to determine how many trucks these faulty gasket seals affected. Dealer was good about providing rental free and turned truck around quick. Extremely odd and quirky for brand new truck with 150 miles logged but I guess things happen it is what it is. I read all the other blogs and statements noted here so I wanted to include this one. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I bought a 2024 Colorado Trail Boss on May 31 and after a week the truck broke down I made a stop in a T intersection, once I had a clear path I started to accelerate and in that moment the truck jerked and at the same time I heard a loud noise under the back of the car. It felt like if I had been accelerating in neutral and suddenly changed gear to drive. After that, the car continue moving but after a few seconds the truck started to lose power and going super slow I tried to accelerate but the truck did not respond. I was able to pull off the road and stop in a parking lot. after that the truck no longer moved forward or backward regardless of what gear the car was in...the car didn't move again. he truck was towed to a Chevrolet dealer, and after two weeks, the service advisor informed me that the issue was with the transmission valve body. When this happen my family was with me in the truck, Luckily, nothing serious happened and I was able to get off the road.
