The back hatchback will not stay open and has caused some minor injuries on accessing objects in back of car..
i was pulling out of a business in my town and the vehicle shut off several feet onto highway us 41 with traffic comeing both way towards me and i was stopped crossways and coasted into a vacant lot .i kept pushing the accelerator and it stated back up and stopped again ,then suddenly started and i made it home!i had it checked at my home by a licened mechanicand all codes read everything was w.orking as it should,no default error, i could have easily ben killed when it stopped,now what should i do?
Windshield wiper linkage motor/ transmission. Replaced once already. Stopped working again. Bushings are crap. Having to replace the whole thing for bad bushings.
TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD ME THE PROBLEM IS THE SPEED SENSOR. IT WAS REPAIRED FOR $463.91. I THEN TRAVELED 31/2 HOURS AWAY FOR A MONTH. THE NEXT DAY THE LIGHT AGAIN APPEARED BUT I WAS TRAVELING AND I CALLED TWICE TO THE DEALER SERVICE PERSON AND THERE WAS NO RETURN CALL..WHEN I RETURNED 4 WEEKS LATER I BROUGHT THE CAR IN THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD FOR $585.00 I COULD HAVE THE LEFT REAR WHEEL REPAIRED.FRANKLY I FELT LIKE I WAS BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF, I'M 80 YEARS OLD. I REFUSED THEIR OFFER. IN THE PAST I RECEIVED NOTICES OF POTENTIAL PROBLEMS WITH THE EQUINOX BUT THE DEALER SERVICE PEOPLE DO NOT INFORM, MAYBE BECAUSE THEY ARE ON A COMMISSION PLUS SALARY INCOME.
MY TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN REPLACED 3 DIFFERENT TIMES. HAVE HAD MY VIECHLE FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS AND MY TRANSMISSION IS MESSED UP AGAIN OIL IS BURNING AND THEY CAR SHOPS HAVE NO IDEA WHERE ITS GOING. JERKING CAR WHEN FOOT IS ON BREAK WHIRRING NOISE WHEN ACCELERATE OR TURNING
THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE! I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IN MY CITY AND IT CUT OFF SEVERAL TIMES WHEN I WAS SLOWING DOWN APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT CAUSING SOMEONE TO ALMOST HIT ME! I HAVE HAD SO MANY ISSUES SINCE I BOUGHT THIS CAR(WISH I NEVER WOULD HAVE) I HAD TO REPLACE MY TRANSMISSION AT 102,000 MILES, I HAVE TO PUT 2-3 QUARTS OF OIL IN MY CAR EVERY 2 WEEKS, AND NOW IT IS CUTTING OFF WHILE I AM DRIVING! THESE VEHICLES NEED TO BE RECALLED AND NEVER MADE AGAIN!!!
MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN IDLING ROUGH SINCE I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE ON 9/6/19. THE VEHICLE ALMOST FEELS AS IF I AM CONTINUALLY TAPPING MY BREAKS ALTHOUGH MY FOOT IS ON THE BREAK AND ON 10/12/19 MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON SO I HAD THE CODES RAN AT AUTOZONE WHICH STATED TO REPLACE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. 2 DAYS PRIOR MY MOTHER WHO PURCHASED A 2013 EQUINOX HAD HER CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON FOR THE SAME ISSUE AFTER JUST PURCHASING HER CAR 2 WEEKS AFTER ME.
TRIED TO BLUETOOTH MY MEDIA, AND THE MENU BUTTON WON'T WORK WITH THE AUX JACK OUT. JUST TRIED TO DO IT TODAY.
AT ABOUT 88,000 MILES, WHILE STARTING FROM A STOP, AND ALSO WHILE CLIMBING A HILL, THE TRANSMISSION STARTED TO SLIP INTO A NEUTRAL POSITION INSTEAD OF A HIGHER OR LOWER GEAR. I HAD TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR AND LET IT IDLE DOWN BEFORE IT WOULD GO INTO A GEAR.02
REAR SEAL BLOW OUT DUE TO PVC BEING CLOGGED
SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR I HAVE HAD TO TAKE IT IN EVERY OTHER WEEK. THE FIRST TIME I TOOK IT IN THEY SAID IT WAS THE HEAD GASKET AND REPLACED IT. AFTER THEY REPAIRED IT THE CAR CONTINUED TO HAVE PROBLEMS. WHEN I'M AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THE CAR DRIVES ROUGH LIKE A JERKING SENSATION AND THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHES. THIS CAR HAS HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS.
P010 CODE WHEN CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS COMES ON. PROBLEM SINCE ABOUT 3 MONTHS OLD. SOME WERE RECALLED, MINE WAS NOT. ROUGH IDLE, DIES WHEN STOPPING OR TURNING,
HAD MY CAR FOR 6 YEARS AND CHANGED OIL EVERY 3000 MILES. LAST WEEK IT RAN OUT OF OIL OVERNIGHT! AND NOW I'VE BEEN HAVING TO PUT IN A QUART OF OIL EVERY 200 MILES OR SO. IT COULD HAVE CEASED UP MY WHOLE ENGINE AND RUINED IT! THE ENGINE LIGHT DIDN'T EVEN GO ON TO TELL ME THERE WAS AN ISSUE. IT IS LIKE IT WAS A SNEAK ATTACK AND IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS SORT OF THING IS HAPPENING TO OTHER OWNERS. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED WHEN THEY FOUND THIS ISSUE. AS IT IS, I'M GOING TO HAVE TO HAVE MAJOR REPAIRS DONE TO USE IT AT ALL. CAR WILL BE WORTH LESS THAN REPAIRS AND IT'S NOT EVEN PAID OFF YET.
TAKATA RECALL. MY 2011 EQUINOX WAS PARKED AND TURNED OFF . I WENT TO GET MY 2 YEAR OLD OUT OF THE CAR AND THE CAR TOOK ITSELF OUT OF PARK. I WAS DRAGED BY THE DOOR AND RECEIVED MANY INJURIES. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN MY NEIGHBORS DRIVEWAY WHEN IT BEGAN ROLLING BACKWARDS WITH MY KIDS INSIDE.
MY HEATER IS BLOWING COLD AIR IN FEBRUARY
AFTER LIFTING THE AUTOMATIC LIFTGATE WITH THE KEY FOB IT WENT UP AND AFTER A FEW SECONDS IT FELL ALMOST HITTING MY HUSBAND . DATES ARE NOT APPROXIMATE . WE GOT THE RIGHT SIDE FIXED AND WAS TOLD THE LEFT SIDE NEEDS FIXED ALSO IS THIS A RECALLED ITEM
GM RECALLED 590002010 2010 CHEVY EQUINOX OVER FAULTY DEFROSTERS, I HAVE A 2011 CHEVY EQUINOX WITH THE SAME ISSUES AS DESCRIBED IN AUTO BLOG DATED DECEMBER 28 2009. IT'S MY FEELING THAT THE SAME PARTS ARE INSTALLED IN MY VEHICLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE. IF THIS IS THE CASE WHY DID NOT CHEVROLET RECALL THE 2011 AS WELL?
I BOUGHT MY 2011 EQUINOX NEW IN APRIL, 2011. THE 5 YEAR WARRANTY JUST EXPIRED APRIL, 2016. I JUST HAD TO HAVE A NEW A/C COMPRESSOR INSTALLED ($745) AND MY CAR ONLY HAS 26,300 MILES! OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT. I CONTACTED CHEVROLET AND OF COURSE THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE A CERTIFIED MECHANIC REPLACED THE COMPRESSOR AND I DIDN'T TAKE IT TO A CERTIFIED CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP. I HAVE LOST FAITH IN CHEVROLET.
THE OBD LIGHT CONTINUOUSLY COMES ON. THE DEALER CANNOT FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. I HAVE SPEND LOTS OF MONEY ON THIS CAR.
I BOUGHT MY 2011 CHEVY EQUINOX BRAND NEW, IN 2011. 4/2015 I HAD A LEAK IN MY A/C LINE RESULTING IN A $450 CHARGE (MY WARRANTY HAD JUST EXPIRED). NOW, 10 MONTHS LATER UPON TURNING ON MY A/C FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR, YET AGAIN MY A/C IS NOT WORKING. IN TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TODAY, I'M NOW TOLD THAT MY COMPRESSOR NEEDS REPLACING WITH A PRICE TAG OF $963. UPON ONLINE RESEARCH, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM AMONGST 2010 AND 2011 EQUINOX. I'M NOT SURE AS TO WHY CHEVROLET HASN'T LOOKED FURTHER INTO THIS ISSUE AND/OR ISSUED A RECALL. THIS SHOULDN'T BE HAPPENING ON VEHICLES THAT ARE 4-5 YEARS OLD. HAVING TO HAVE MY A/C WORKED ON TWICE ON A THEN 4 YEAR OLD, NOW 5 YEAR OLD VEHICLE IS ABSURD. SOUNDS TO ME LIKE FAULTY EQUIPMENT.
THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE WILL NOT UNLOCK.
THE CAR DOORS WILL NOT STAY LOCKED. AFTER LOCKING THE CAR OVER NIGHT WITH THE KEY FOB I WILL GO OUTSIDE AND FIND MY CAR UNLOCKED. UNSURE IF THIS AFFECTS THE CHILD SAFETY LOCK FEATURE ON THE REAR DOORS. THE CAR IS STATIONARY SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY. THIS ISSUES HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR SOME TIME NOW. MY CAR WAS LOCKED OVERNIGHT AND THIS MORNING I FOUND IT UNLOCKED AND SOMEONE HAD GONE THROUGH IT.
ON THE AFTERNOON OF AUGUST 12,2015 I WAS WALKING TOWARDS THE REAR OPEN DOOR THAT MY NEPHEW HAD OPENED. I DID NOT SEE THE DOOR COMING DOWN, NO BEEPING....IT HIT THE TOP OF MY HEAD AND KEPT GOING DOWN PUSHING ME TO THE GROUND. I HAD A CONCUSSION AND THE AMBULANCE TOOK ME TO THE HOSPITAL BEING AS I HAD BEEN UNCONSCIOUS. SPENT ONE DAY IN THE HOSPITAL WITH LOTS OF TESTS TO SEE IF MY SPINE WAS DAMAGED. NO DAMAGE THERE AFTER LYING IN THEIR BED WITH A NECK BRACE ON. WILL HAVE FOLLOW UP WITH NEOUROLOGIST WITH MORE TESTS. YOU NEED TO HAVE SOME KIND OF WARNING SOUND TO LET PEOPLE KNOW WHEN THE DOOR IS COMING DOWN. NO RESISTANCE TO THE DOOR WHEN MY BROTHER IN LAW TESTED IT ALSO. COLUMBIA, SC--I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP TO REPAIR AN IGNITION ISSUE AND TOLD THEM THAT I WAS HAVING A WHINING-TYPE ENGINE NOISE WHEN I ACCELERATED WHILE THE A/C WAS ON, AND THAT THE A/C WAS STARTING TO LOSE ITS COOLING CAPACITY. THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED ME THAT MY COMPRESSOR WAS GOING OUT, BUT THAT IT WOULD PROBABLY LAST INTO THE SUMMER, BUT BY THE END OF APRIL I HAD TO HAVE IT REPLACED, TO THE TUNE OF $1260. EVEN THOUGH MY CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY BECAUSE OF YEARS, IT HAD LESS THAN 28,000 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME OF THE COMPRESSOR FAILURE. I CONTACTED GM AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS BEYOND THEIR 3-YEAR WARRANTY PERIOD. I POSTED THIS ISSUE ON A SITE CALLED REPAIRPAL, AND I HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS EMAILS FROM OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.
