The contact stated that while her daughter was driving at slow speeds into a parking area, the passenger's side of the vehicle collapsed, rendering the vehicle inoperable. The contact stated that shortly afterwards, Roadside Assistance arrived to tow the vehicle and observed that the frame had split down the center. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 240,000. The VIN was not available.

DASH HAS CRACKS IN TWO LOCATIONS. MOST CONCERNING WHERE PASSENGER AIRBAG MEETS DASH. CRACKS FOUND WHEN CAR WAS NOT STATIONARY AND IS GARAGED NIGHTLY.

THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF THE FAILURE WOULD AFFECT THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THE OTHER COMPONENTS NEAR THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE DASH BOARD HAS CRACKED AT THE AIRBAG COVER OVER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, ALSO ON THE DRIVER SIDE DASH IT HAS CRACKED AND BEGINNING TO CREATE A HOLE. I'M JUST NOW FINDING THAT THERE HAS BEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THIS AND OTHER CHEVY MODELS.
DASH BOARD CRACKED FOR 3RD TIME ON DRIVERS SIDE. GM WILL NOT COVER NOW AS ITS OUT OF WARRANTY. DRIVERS SIDE MOTOR MOUNT BROKEN. KNOWN ISSUE

THE CONTACT NOTICED A SEVERE FRACTURE ALONG THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. PREMIER CHEVROLET OF BUENA PARK IN BUENA PARK, CALIFORNIA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND TOOK PICTURES OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND PROVIDED THE CONTACT WITH CASE NUMBER: 8-3301312480. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.
MY DASH IS CRACKED! THIS IS A DEFECT AND SHOULD BE A RECALL. I WANT TO GET THIS FIXED BEFORE IT TOTALLY FALLS APART. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHEN I NOTICED IT.
CRACKED DASH- I FOUND THE DASH OF MY 2010 TAHOE CRACKED BY THE PASSENGER AIR BAG AND ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. UPON DOING RESEARCH I FOUND THAT NUMEROUS OTHER CHEVY OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE AND GM CONTINUES TO DENY THAT IT IS AN ISSUE WITH THEIR VEHICLES AND DO A RECALL EVEN THOUGH THEY ALL CRACK IN THE SAME AREAS.
I HAVE TWO CRACKS ON THE DASH OF MY 2010 CHEVROLET TAHOE 4D 4X4 LTZ ONE IS HALF WAY UP MY INSTRUMENT PANEL SIDE THE OTHER GOES TO THE CORNER OF MY AIRBAG OPENING.

THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKING IN MULTIPLE PLACES. THE CRACKS ARE GETTING WORSE WITH TIME. THIS COULD CAUSE FRAGMENTS OF SHARP PLASTIC TO BE LAUNCHED INTO THE VEHICLE IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT. AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT MAY ALSO BE COMPROMISED.
THERE ARE STRESS CRACKS IN A FAULTY DASHBOARD THAT HAS HAD NO BLUNT FORCE. THESE CRACKS ARE LOCATED AT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND AIRBAG COMPARTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED OVERNIGHT OUTDOORS IN THE COOL AIR, AND THE CRACKS APPEARED SOMETIME AFTER THE DEFROSTER OR POSSIBLY THE HEAT OF THE DAY WARMED THE VEHICLE
I BOUGHT A 2010 CHEVROLET TAHOE IN DECEMBER 2012 LESS THAN 2 YEARS AFTER I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE THE DASHBOARD STARTED CRACKING IN TWO PLACE-DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE LOCATION OF THE AIR BAGS. THERE ARE A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE FROM TAHOE OWNERS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR EVERYONE RIDING IN THE VEHICLE. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL.
THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED IN TWO PLACES. NEXT TO THE AIRBAG AND ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS CREATES A SAFETY HAZARD IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION WHERE THE DASHBOARD WILL SEPARATE AND CREATE FLYING PROJECTILES. I'M NOT SURE WHEN THE CRACK HAPPENED (DRIVING, PARKED, ETC.), BUT IT BECAME VISIBLE TO MY ATTENTION THE OTHER DAY AFTER SOME COLD EVENINGS (COLD FOR SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA). THE DASH BOARD IN THE VEHICLE HAS 2 CRACKS IN IT. COULD BE A SAFETY HAZARD INVOLVING THE AIRBAGS. ONE CRACK IS LOCATED AT THE CURVE OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ON THE GEAR SELECTOR SIDE AND THE OTHER IS LOCATED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I RECENTLY PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND THE CRACKS WERE ALREADY THERE. I KNOW THAT THIS IS A POPULAR PROBLEM AND I BELIEVE THAT GM HAS PROFITED GREATLY FROM THE SALES OF THESE VEHICLES AND SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE INTEGRITY OF THEIR PRODUCT. *TR

THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED A FRACTURE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE DASHBOARD OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE INSPECTED, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
DASHBOARD HAS MAJOR CRACKS AND IT FEELS LIKE ONE DAY, SOME PIECE WILL BREAK OFF AND HURT SOMEONE WHILE DRIVING AND IT CAUSE MAJOR CRASH. IT STARTED WITH A SMALL CRACK AND IT IS THOUGH END TO END NOW. *TR
THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED AND LOOKS VERY UNAPPEALING. THERE IS ALSO A SAFETY CONCERN, IF THE AIR BAGS WERE EVER TO DEPLOY I FEAR THAT THE CRACKED PLASTIC WOULD DISINTEGRATE AND CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY.
DASH ABOVE GAUGES STARTED CRACKING AND KEEPS GROWING AS WELL AS A 2-3IN CRACK BY PASSENGER AIR BAG
DASHBOARD CRACKED IN TWO (2) PLACES- AM WORRIED IF AIR BACK GOES OFF, SHRAPNEL WILL FLY THROUGH INSIDE AND INJURE OR KILL THE PASSENGERS.
