A serious accident that totaled the car happened. The driver side curtain airbag did not deploy and the driver broke her wrist. Side curtain airbags on passenger side opened even though there was no passenger in the seat. The driver steering wheel airbag did deploy. Car appears to have been hit head on based on the damage that I saw.
Passenger side air bag sensor came on showing it to be defective. Had to pay to be replaced due to safety (air bags could fail to deploy).
June 2,2021 was rear ended by full speed car (30-40mph) that put me into an on coming car at a traffic light. Crunched my Honda 2015 CRV where I couldn't even open the front doors and my head hit the steering wheel, my arms and my spine cracked. Thankfully did not brake anything however still in pain and need continuing chiropractic care. If the Honda I was driving didn't have the function of in brake assist the turning vehicle from the on coming street wouldn't have survived. There were no warnings or failure lights, messages or notices from the dealership where we regularly took for service. Honda CRV 2015 totaled ownership no longer in my name
When I went in for maintenance, I was told that the front airbags would not deploy. In the event of a car accident, the airbags cannot be popped. I know some cars were recalled in 2016 for airbag issues, should I be treated reasonably as well since my car has the same issue.
Vehicle collided with a deer at 65 mph. The passenger side front air bag deployed but the driver airbag did not deploy.
According to the dealership looking at the vehicle, the air bag had a critical failure. The vehicle is only 5 years old. While the dealership stated this was the failure of a critical component and that the vehicle should not even be driven off the lot until the air bag was fully repaired, American Honda is stating it was simply an issue with the indicator light and that the air bag was fully functional. Either the local Honda dealer or American Honda is not being honest about what happened here, but if the air bags on 5 year old Honda vehicles are failing, this seems like something that likely should be more aggressively address, particularly in light of the many air bag failures that have been in the news over the past few years.
LIKE SEVERAL OTHER CRV OWNERS, MY VEHICLE IS ALSO SUFFERING FROM AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT. THE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON IN THE JUNE 2020, AND IT'S STILL ON. THE VEHICLE WAS IN A STATIONARY POSITION WHEN THE WARNINGIGHT CAME ON. HONDA DEALER WANTS $1600 TO FIX THE ISSUE. I WANT TO SELL THE CAR, BUT NOW I HAVE TO PAY THAT AMOUNT TO SELL MY CAR. PLEASE HELP.
WE WERE TRAVELING ON A ROAD AT 55 MPH. ANOTHER VEHICLE ABRUPTLY PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF US AT 10 MPH. OUR DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO AVOID COLLISION BY SWERVING TO THE RIGHT MEDIAN. THE IMPACT WAS OUR FRONT DRIVER SIDE HITTING THE OTHER DRIVER'S BACK PASSENGER SIDE. ACCORDING TO WITNESS STATEMENTS, OUR CAR WENT AIR BORN AND INTO A MULTIPLE SPIN SITUATION. WE TOOK OUT A GUARD RAIL. DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED ON ALL SIDES OF THE VEHICLE, EXCEPT THE ROOF. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. POLICE RULED FAULT WAS THE OTHER DRIVER. WE WERE WEARING SEAT BELTS. LUGGAGE FLEW OUT THE BACK WINDOW, APPROXIMATELY 30 FEET INTO THE ROAD. THE SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED SUCCESSFULLY. NEITHER FRONT AIRBAG DEPLOYED. GLASS IN WINDSHIELD WAS SHATTERED, BUT PART OF THE GUARD RAIL (WE THINK) TOOK OUT THE GLASS IN A CIRCULAR PATTERN ON THE PASSENGER SIDE.

ON JUNE 12TH, 2017, I PASSED OUT WHILE DRIVING AND HIT A PARKED PICKUP. I WAS TRAVELING AT 50-55 MPH WHEN I CRASHED. MY CAR PUSHED THE PICKUP BACKWARDS 33'. THE PICKUP PUSHED THE CAR BEHIND IT 8' THEN THAT CAR WAS PUSHED BACKWARD INTO ANOTHER CAR. MY CAR AND THE PICKUP WERE TOTALED. MY SIDE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I WAS SEVERELY INJURED. I SUSTAINED 5 BROKEN RIBS, MY LEFT WRIST WAS BROKEN ALONG WITH A BONE IN THE SAME HAND. I HAD A LARGE HEMATOMA ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY NECK AND A BASEBALL SIZE HEMATOMA ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY ABDOMEN. MOST OF MY INJURIES WAS FROM THE SEAT BELT. THERE WAS AN ABRASION ACROSS MY NECK. THE MUSCLES IN MY RIGHT CHEST WERE PULLED. ALSO THE MUSCLES AROUND MY RIGHT BREAST AND UNDER MY RIGHT ARM WERE PULLED. ON JULY 3RD , I HAD SURGERY TO REMOVE THE HEMATOMA ON MY LEFT ABDOMEN. IT WAS ATHE SIZE OF TWO FISTS. I HAVE WORN A WOUND VAC SINCE THE SURGERY AND HAVE 2-3 WEEKS TO GO. I RECEIVED A BLOW TO THE TOP OF MY HEAD. I HAD A. RISE ON MY FOREHEAD AND ALONG THE BRIDGE OF MY NOSE. I BELIEVE THE SIDE AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. MY INJURIES WOULD HAVE BEEN SIGNIFICANTLY LESS HAD THE AIRBAGS PROTECTED ME. I'M REQUESTING THAT YOU INVESTIGATE WHO MADE THE PARTS FOR THE AIRBAGS AND WHY DID THEY NOT WORK.

ONLY THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED AND A WHITE SUBSTANCE EMITTED INTO THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS PULLED OUT OF THE VEHICLE BY TWO INDIVIDUALS. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUFFERED EXTENSIVE INJURIES TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BODY (BROKEN RIBS, WRISTS, ETC.) AND THE HEAD. MEDICAL TREATMENT WAS REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A YARD. THE CONTACT HAD NOT SPOKEN WITH A DEALER BECAUSE THERE WAS NO AIR BAG FAILURE UNTIL A CRASH OCCURRED. THE CONTACT REPORTED THE FAILURE TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND THE MANUFACTURER.
