TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WHILE STOPPED, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED EXCESSIVELY WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RPMS NEEDED TO BE ADJUSTED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE REPAIRED DUE TO EPA REGULATIONS. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE TECHNICIAN UPDATED UNKNOWN SOFTWARE BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,278.
THIS ONLY HAPPENED ONCE. GOING DOWN SHORT MODERATE HILL ON HIGHWAY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VEHICLE SEEMED TO DROP INTO A LOWER GEAR; AS IF, IT HAD A STANDARD TRANSMISSION (HAS AUTOMATIC). THEN SEEMED TO BE IN LIMBO FOR VERY SHORT TIME, RESUMED AS NORMAL AND HAVE NOT HAD ANOTHER INCIDENT. VERY STRANGE FOR A NEW VEHICLE.
HONDA CR-V 2015 AND OTHER YEARS HAVE VIBRATION CREATED BY THE CVT TRANSMISSION. THE CARS RPM'S DROP AT IDOL AND THE HOLE CAR SHAKES LIKE A 2.0 EARTHQUAKE. THERE ARE APPARENTLY MORE PROBLEMS THAN THIS BUT HONDA IS NOT PUBLICLY ACKNOWLEDGE ING THE PROBLEM. IT'S BEEN RECALLED FOR AN ALLEGED COMPUTER PROBLEM BUT I SUSPECT THEY ARE TRYING OVER COME THE VIBRATION. COVERUP. THEY PUT NEW PUSHINGS IN TO TAMPERED VIBRATION. COVERUP NOW DEALER WANTS CAR BACK TO FIX BUT HONDA DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO REPAIR IT. ENGINEERING BIG MISTAKE.
WHEN THIS KEYLESS ENTRY VEHICLE IS STATIONARY, ENGINE CAN BE TURNED OFF AND DRIVER CAN EXIT WITHOUT SHIFTING TO PARK. THE VEHICLE WILL SOUND AN ALARM AND DISPLAY "SHIFT TO PARK" ON ONE OF IT'S SCREENS. HOWEVER, THIS DOES NOT PREVENT THE VEHICLE FROM MOVING ON ANY FORM OF INCLINE. WE HAVE ALMOST LOST THE CAR THREE TIMES IN PEOPLE'S DRIVEWAYS WITH THIS PROBLEM. YES, THE PREFERRED SOLUTION IS TO APPLY THE EMERGENCY BRAKE BEFORE EXITING BUT THAT IS NOT A REAL-WORLD SOLUTION FOR FLAT-LANDERS (THIS SOLUTION IS ONLY USED ON STEEP INCLINES). OUR PREVIOUS IGNITION KEY CAR WOULD NOT LET US REMOVE THE IGNITION KEY UNTIL THE TRANSMISSION WAS PLACED IN PARK. THIS DEFICIENCY COULD EASILY RESULT IN AN OUT-OF-CONTROL RUNAWAY CAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE GARAGE, THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO THE DRIVE POSITION AND THE VEHICLE ROLLED BACKWARDS WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE MAILBOX. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,500.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED SEVERELY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED CONSTANTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE'S SOFTWARE WAS UPDATED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150.
NOTICED VIBRATION ON THE WAY HOME FROM THE DEALER. VIBRATION HAPPENS AT ~60-70MPH. VIBRATION IS SOMETIMES STRONGER OR WEAKER AND MAKES ME DIZZY A BIT. VERY ANNOYING.
ABOUT 1-2X PER MONTH, AFTER CAR SITS FOR SEVERAL HOURS (AND POWER TRAIN IS COLD), VEHICLE WILL SHUDDER WHEN FIRST STARTING OUT IN REVERSE OR DRIVE. THIS USUALLY OCCURS WHEN IN REVERSE AND RIDING BRAKE AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE. RPM DOES DROP TO ABOUT 500 RPM FOR ABOUT A SECOND, MAKING VEHICLE FEEL AS IF IT WILL STALL (SIMILAR TO NOT GIVING ENOUGH GAS WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION). ENGINE WILL THEN REV SLIGHTLY ABOVE INITIAL IDLE BEFORE RETURNING TO NORMAL. THROTTLE RESPONSE ALSO DIMINISHES FOR A FEW SECONDS AFTERWARD. DEALER FOUND NO TROUBLE CODES AND ASSOCIATED SYMPTOMS WITH IDLE VIBRATION ISSUE. HOWEVER, FREQUENCY OF IDLE VIBRATION IS MUCH MORE REGULAR WITH THOSE WHO HAVE IT. CAR HAS NOT STALLED YET BUT ALWAYS THINK IT MIGHT. MY DAD HAS AN IDENTICAL VEHICLE AND HAS HAD SAME SHUDDERING ISSUE, THOUGH WITH MUCH LESS FREQUENCY.
GETTING VIBRATION FROM TRANSMISSION/POWER TRAIN. VERY NOTICEABLE BETWEEN 20 MPH AND 40 MPH. CAN FEEL THE VIBRATION I THE STEERING WHEEL. AND ALSO IN THE SEATS.
VIBRATIONS UPON ACCELERATION BETWEEN 10-50 MPH. I CAN HEAR AND FEEL THE VIBRATION AND IT OCCURS EVERY TIME I SLOW DOWN BELOW 30 AND THEN ACCELERATE AGAIN AND EVERY TIME I PULL OFF FROM A COMPLETE STOP. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TODAY AND THEY SAID THEY WERE AWARE FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS OF THIS ISSUE AND THAT HONDA IS WORKING ON A FIX FOR THE ISSUE BUT AS MUCH AS HONDA ENGINEERS MAKE, A MONTH SHOULD BE MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME TO FIGURE IT OUT. I FEEL THE ISSUE WILL NOT FIX ITSELF AND WILL GET WORSE WITH TIME. MY FAMILY USES THIS VEHICLE AND BEING BROKE DOWN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SEEMS UNSAFE TO ME ESPECIALLY WITH A NEW $30,000 VEHICLE.

THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 210.
I HAVE PREVIOUSLY COMPLAINED ABOUT THE VIBRATION AT IDLE, ENGINE SHUDDERS ON ACCELERATION, AND LACK OF ACCELERATION ON A HIGHWAY MERGE ON THIS SITE, THE DEALERSHIP, AND TO HONDA, TO NO AVAIL. THIS PAST WEEKEND, THE SERPENTINE BELT BROKE WHILE I WAS 3 HOURS AWAY FROM HOME. THIS RENDERS THE CAR UNABLE TO DRIVE, AND IT HAD TO BE TOWED. WE EXPERIENCED STRONG VIBRATIONS IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC BEFORE I SMELLED BURNT RUBBER AND PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT. COULD THERE BE A CONNECTION TO THE VIBRATION, OR IS THIS ANOTHER DEFECT IN THIS VEHICLE? AS I READ THE POSTS, IT IS APPARENT THAT HONDA IS NOT DISCLOSING THE KNOWN VIBRATIONS TO THE PUBLIC. THIS IS AT THE LEAST UNETHICAL. DOES A FATALITY HAVE TO OCCUR BEFORE SOMETHING WILL BE DONE?
THE CAR VIBRATES A LOT AT IDLING. THIS IS A VEY COMMON OCCURRENCE IN ALL 2015 HONDA CR-V. THE EXCESS VIBRATIONS ARE ALSO FELT AT LOW SPEEDS, ESPECIALLY WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP.
POWER TRAIN STARTED TO DO UNNECESSARY A PUSHING AND PULLING. THIS COULD BE SEVERAL THINGS OR A COMBINATION OF THROTTLE SENSOR (DRIVE BY WIRE THROTTLE), G-FORCE SENSOR, SOFTWARE CVT AUTO-CALIBRATION THAT NEVER GOT TURNED OFF AND SOFTWARE CVT AUTO-CALIBRATION BUFFER OVERRUN EVERY 4400000 METERS. THESE ARE ALL POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUES BY INDUCING MORE DYNAMIC TENSIONS OUTSIDE THE DESIGNED INTENTIONS WHERE THE POWER TRAIN PARTS WILL FAIL AND CREATING A LOSS OF POWER TRAIN AND INDUCING A CRASH DURING NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. THESE ARE ALL DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING ISSUES COVERED UNDER WARRANTY; HOWEVER, HONDA REFUSES TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6. UPDATED 1/15/16 *CN THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED NOTICEABLE VIBRATIONS AT IDLE. THE WHEEL BALANCE AND ALLIGNMENTS WERE CHECKED BY 2 DEALERS. THE FAILURE PERSISTED. *JS
THE VEHICLE SHAKES NOTICEABLY AT LOW RPMS. SPECIALLY WHEN STOPPED WHILE IN GEAR I.E. AT A RED LIGHT OR WHEN ACCELERATING SLOWLY. THE SHAKE VERY NOTICEABLE, CAUSES THE SEATS TO SHAKE AND RATTLES WHAT EVER IS IN THE CUP HOLDERS. IT CAUSES THE REAR VIEW MIRROR TO BECOME USELESS. *JS
MY CAR HAS A SERIOUS VIBRATION ISSUES WHEN IT IDLES OR IS REVVING UP TO 40-50MPH. IT IS INCREDIBLE DISTRACTING AND ONLY HAS BEEN GETTING WORSE SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT THIS ISSUE WILL CONTINUE TO GROW AND OUTSIDE OF IT BEING VERY ANNOYING IT HAS BEEN DISTRACTING ME AND CAUSING EVEN THE PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEAT TO ASK "WHAT IS THAT? IT CAN'T BE NORMAL". I HOPE THIS AGENCY ALONG WITH HONDA USA WILL WORK HARD TO FIND A SOLUTION AS I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE AS IS.

CAR HAS A BAD VIBRATION AND SHUTTERING WHILE IDLING AND AT AROUND 60 MPH. IT SHAKES AND CAN BE NAUSEATING AT TIMES. PAID OVER 30,000 FOR A CAR THAT IS UNCOMFORTABLE AND MAKES ME SICK. I DON'T FEEL SAFE!!! HONDA DEALER SAYS IN A "CHARACTERISTIC" OF THE CAR. SOMETHING IS DEFIANTLY WRONG!!! *TR

REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE. SUMMARY: AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO., INC. (HONDA) IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2015 HONDA CR-V VEHICLES. DURING ASSEMBLY OF THE SHORT BLOCK, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT NOT ALL OF THE CONNECTING ROD BOLTS WERE TORQUED TO THE SPECIFICATION. SAFETY RISK: IF A CONNECTING ROD BOLT WAS NOT TORQUED CORRECTLY, THE ENGINE MAY RATTLE/KNOCK, LEAK OIL, OR LOSE POWER, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. MY HONDA CR-V VIBRATES AT IDLE WHILE IN GEAR AT APPROXIMATELY 500-600 RPMS. IT ALSO VIBRATES WHILE ACCELERATING AT ALL SPEEDS UNDER APPROXIMATELY 2100-2200 RPMS. THIS CAN'T BE GOOD FOR THE LONGEVITY OF THE ENGINE AND IS DISTRACTING, HENCE A SAFETY CONCERN. *TR
A FEW DAYS AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE I BEGAN TO NOTICE A VIBRATION ON THE FRONT END, MOSTLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND MOST SEVERE AT 60-70 MPH RANGE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE 3 TIMES IN MARCH. THE FIRST TIME THEY BALANCED ALL THE TIRES, THE SECOND TIME THEY PUT TWO NEW TIRES IN THE FRONT. I DROVE IT ON A TRIP (ABOUT 600 MILES TOTAL) AND IT WAS EXTREMELY IRRITATING THE WHOLE TIME I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY. THE THIRD VISIT TO THE DEALER AND I DROVE IT WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER AND WAS TOLD IT WAS NORMAL. WE THEN DROVE ANOTHER NEW 2015 CRV AND IT DROVE THE SAME WAY. HIS BEST SUGGESTION WAS TO INVEST IN MICHELINS TO REDUCE THE ROAD NOISE. HE CALLED BACK ABOUT A WEEK LATER TO LET ME KNOW THERE WERE "SOME KNOWN ISSUES" AND HE LET ME KNOW IT THEY FOUND A FIX. I THEN SEARCHED NHTSA ONLY TO DISCOVER SIMILAR PROBLEMS LISTED , SO HERE I AM, POSTING MY COMPLAINT TO ADD TO THE LIST. HONDA HAS ALSO POSTED TO ANNOUNCE THEY'LL BE RECALLING CERTAIN VEHICLES TO REPLACE THE ENGINE BLOCK BUT YET TO RECEIVE A LETTER AT THIS POINT FOR MINE. I ALSO EXPERIENCE THE VIBRATION AT IDLING, WHICH IS ALSO ANNOYING, BUT IT WAS NOTED ON CONSUMER REPORTS WHEN I RESEARCHED BEFORE BUYING THE CAR SO THERE YA GO. AT THIS POINT THE MAIN FIX NEEDS TO BE THE VIBRATION AT DRIVING SPEED, AND I THEY NEED TO ADDRESS THE IDLING ISSUE TOO. I SHOULD MENTION THE SERVICE MANAGER HAS KEPT IN CONTACT WITH ME AND SAID HE IS DETERMINED TO REMEDY THE SITUATION. *TR
CAR HAS SIGNIFICANT VIBRATIONS WHEN RPMS ARE IN LOW END OF RANGE. I BROUGHT IN FOR THEM TO LOOK WITH 1169 MILES ON ODOMETER ON MARCH 18 AND WAS TOLD IT IS "CONSISTENT" WITH OTHER CRVS. I STATED THAT VIBRATIONS WERE IN THE RANGE OF 1500-2000 RPMS. AS OF APRIL 14, ISSUE HAS GOTTEN WORSE, WITH VIBRATIONS RANGING FROM 600-2500. I NOW FEEL SLIPPAGE DURING ACCELERATION. VERY UNNERVING. I WORRY THE VIBRATIONS WILL CONTINUE TO GET WORSE. *TR
