WHILE THE TRACTION CONTROL WAS ACTIVATED THE VEHICLE HAD A HARD TIME MAKING IT UP A SLOPE WHICH HAD 1-2 INCHES OF NEW FALLEN SNOW, WITH THE TRACTION CONTROL OFF THE VEHICLE HAD NO PROBLEMS GOING UPHILL. NLM
ENGINE RUNNING WITH TRANSMISSION IN PARK POSITION, CAR ROLLED DOWN A HILL. TWO SMALL GIRLS INSIDE OF CAR JUMPED OUT, ONE GIRL GOT RAN OVER BY FRONT TIRE. CAR CONTINUED TO ROLL DOWN THE HILL UNTILL IT HIT A TREE. *AK
CONSUMER HAS ONLY OWNED THE VEHICLE FOR 35 DAYS, PUT VEHICLE INTO PARK WITH VEHICLE STILL RUNNING. CONSUMER TOOK FOOT OFF THE BRAKE, AND SEVERAL MINUTES LATER, VEHICLE JUMPED BACKWARDS, HITTING A VEHICLE. HAD NOTICED GEAR SHIFTED TO REVERSE BY ITSELF. TRANSMISSION WAS LOCKED INTO REVERSE GEAR. CONSUMER PUT FOOT ON BRAKES AGAIN TRYINGTO SHIFT GEAR INTO DRIVE, BUT GEAR WOULD NOT MOVE.VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED FOWARD WITH FOOT STILL ON BRAKES. CONSUMER HAD TO PUMP BRAKES IN ORDER TO STOP ALMOST HITTING TWO PEDESTRIANS. DEALER CLAIMED THERE WAS NO DEFECT.*AK
GEAR IS EASLY MOVED FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL WITHOUT DEPRESSING THE BUTTON ON GEAR SHIFT. DEALERSHIP/MANUFACTURER WERE CALLED ABOUT THE PROBLEM. DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THIS WAS A NORMAL CONDITION. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO SLIP WITHOUT WARNING. WHEN TRYING TO START THE VEHICLE THE FOLLOWING DAY, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT ENGAGE. VEHICLE TAKEN TO DEALER, NOTHING UNUSUAL COULD BE FOUND, BUT TRANSMISSION PAN WAS REINSTALLED AND FLUID REPLACED. PROBLEM HAS NOT REOCCURRED SINCE, ALTHOUGH DEALER WARNS IT COULD REOCCUR AT ANY TIME. *AK *ML
WHEN SHIFTING TO DRIVE AND DEPRESSING GAS PEDAL VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE CONSUMER HAS TO SHIFT TO PARK, THEN DRIVE A FEW TIMES, AND VEHICLE WOULD START TRAVELING. *AK
TRANSMISSION LEAKING,SERVICE DEPT. REPLACED THE FRONT TRANSMISSION SEAL, SIX WEEKS LATER, FLUID ON THE DRIVEWAY AGAIN. SECOND REPAIR THE DEALER REPLACED FRONT SEAL AGAIN & THE TORQUE CONVERTOR.*ET
WHEN THE CAR IS PUT IN REVERSE AND THE BREAK RELEASED, THE CAR MOVES ITSELF WITHOUT TOUCHING THE GAS AT ALL. IT WILL CONTINUE TO GO AT A FAIRLY RAPID SPEED, UNTIL THE BREAK IS HIT AGAIN. IT WILL GO AT THIS SPEED FOR OVER 100 FEET. IT WAS REPORTED TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID "THEY ALL GO THAT WAY". IF A CHILD WAS WITHIN 20 FEET OF THE CAR THE CAR WOULD PROCED OVER THE CHILD. *AK
UPON TEST DRIVE, TRANSMISSION IS CONSIDERED FAULTY. A SECOND "NEW" TRANSMISSION IS ORDERED TO REPLACE THE REPLACEMENT. *CJ
