TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOORS INDEPENDENTLY LOCKED. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE DOOR FAILED TO UNLOCK WITHOUT THE USE OF THE KEY FOB. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 85,000. UPDATED 06/10/14*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED ALL 4 DOOR LOCKS AND REAR HATCH IMMEDIATELY LOCK WHEN THE DOORS WERE CLOSED. THIS IS OCCURS WHETHER THE ENGINE IS RUNNING OR NOT. THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS - RIGHT PASSENGERS SIDE LOCK UNLOCKS. WILL NOT RE-LOCK. *TR
THE DRIVER SIDE POWER LOCKS ARE LOCKING ALL DOORS AUTOMATICALLY AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER I UNLOCK IT VIA THE KEY FOB OR THE UNLOCK/LOCK SWITCH INSIDE THE VEHICLE. IT CAN NOT BE UNLOCKED MANUALLY BECAUSE IT IS VERY RESISTANT TO MOVING. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS IS AN ACTUATOR FAILURE AND IS COMMON IN 2007 HONDA CRV. *TR
THE DRIVERS DOOR AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR AUTOMATICALLY LOCK THEMSELVES IMMEDIATELY AFTER OPENING (WITHIN 2 SECONDS). THE ACTUATORS IN BOTH DOORS SEEM TO BE STUCK IN THE LOCKED POSITION. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN AS THEY CAN EASILY BECOME LOCKED IN THE CAR. THE DRIVERS DOOR IS THE BIGGEST ISSUE BECAUSE ONCE IT LOCKS ITSELF IT TRIGGERS ALL OTHER DOORS TO LOCK THEMSELVES AS WELL EFFECTIVELY LOCKING YOU OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME THE DOOR UNLOCKS. WHILE RUNNING, KEYS IN THE IGNITION, NO KEYS, DOESN'T MATTER. WILL COST ROUGHLY $250 PER DOOR TO REPAIR AND BECAUSE THE ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN ACKNOWLEDGE YOU SHOULD NOT TRUST OEM PARTS. *TR
ON OUR 2007 HONDA CR-V THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR UNLOCKS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER BEING LOCKED, NO MATTER HOW IT IS LOCKED. THIS HAPPENS WITH THE CAR IN MOTION, STOPPED, WITH THE KEY FOB OR MANUALLY LOCKED. THE DOOR WILL ALSO LOCK WHILE DRIVING BUT THEN IMMEDIATELY UNLOCK ITSELF. THIS IS ONLY PART OF THE PROBLEM. THE UNLOCKING OF THE DOOR ALSO DISENGAGES THE ALARM. I CAN LOCK THE DOOR AND SET THE ALARM AND WITHIN A SECOND, CAN OPEN WITH DOOR WITH NO ALARM SOUNDING AT ALL. SO WITH THE DOOR UNLOCKING, MY WIFE AND CHILDREN ARE IN HARMS WAY WHEN THEY'RE STOPPED AS THERE IS NOTHING TO STOP SOMEONE FROM ENTERING THAT FRONT PASSENGER DOOR INTO THE ONLY EMPTY SEAT IN THE CAR AND DOING BODILY HARM TO THEM OR STEALING THE CAR AND LEAVING THEM WHERE EVER THEY ARE. THIS ALSO MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SECURE THE CAR WHEN AWAY FROM HOME AS BOTH THE LOCK AND ALARM ARE DISENGAGED MAKING IT TOO EASY FOR ANY CRIMINAL LOOKING FOR A TARGET OF OPPORTUNITY. THIS MEANS IN A 24 HOUR DAY, MY CAR, WHILE PARKED AND EMPTY OR FILLED WITH THE MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN MY LIFE, IS ONLY SECURED FOR LITERALLY A FEW SECONDS. BY PROXY, THAT MEANS MY WIFE AND CHILDREN ARE ONLY SECURE FOR LESS THAN THAT. *TR
PASSENGER DOOR LOCKS LESS THAN A SECOND AFTER BEING UNLOCKED, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. *TR

A LOUD NOISE WAS HEARD FROM THE REAR PASSENGER'S SIDE LOCKING MECHANISM WHEN ATTEMPTING TO LOCK THE DOORS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT BOTH REAR DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE DOORS FAILED TO LOCK REMOTELY. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER'S SIDE DOOR COULD ONLY BE LOCKED MANUALLY HOWEVER, THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WAS UNABLE TO LOCK MANUALLY OR REMOTELY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
DOOR LOCKS CONTINUALLY RE-LOCK AFTER EACH ACCELERATION PAST 9MPH. AND REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR CONTINUALLY UNLOCKS ITSELF WHETHER PARKED OR IN MOTION! EXTREMELY DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN!! THE CR-V IS NOW INCAPABLE OF BEING LOCKED WHILE PARKED. *TR
MY 2007 HONDA CR-V DOOR LOCKS (PASSENGER SIDE) STARTED MAKING A WHINING NOISE WHEN IT WAS LESS THAN 2 YEARS OLD, BUT MY SON NOTICED IN NOVEMBER THAT THE DOORS WOULD IMMEDIATELY UNLOCK AFTER THEY ARE LOCKED, EVEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS MOVING. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL TIMES WHEN MY HATCH HAS GOTTEN STUCK IN THE LOCKED POSITION AND I COULD NOT OPEN IT. I WOULD NOT FEEL SAFE HAVING A SMALL CHILD IN MY CAR WHEN THE DOORS WILL NOT STAY LOCKED. NOT TO MENTION, THAT I HAD A LOADED GUN IN MY GLOVE BOX FOR A WHILE AND DID NOT KNOW THAT THE CAR WAS NOT STAYING LOCKED. *TR
THE LEFT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK WILL NOT LOCK AT ALL. THE RIGHT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK WILL NOT UNLOCK 80% OF THE TIME. ALL FOUR DOOR LOCKS RANDOMLY LOCK AND UNLOCK WHILE THE VEHICLE IS MOVING. SOMETIMES IF THE BUTTON IS PUSHED TO UNLOCK THE DOORS, THE LOCKS WILL 'PROCESS' AND SOUND LIKE A MACHINE GUN AS THEY GO ON AND OFF FOR SEVERAL SECONDS IN A ROW. MY CHILD HAS OPENED THE LEFT PASSENGER DOOR (EVEN THOUGH THE CHILD LOCK WAS ENGAGED) WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS MOVING. THE VEHICLE CANNOT BE SECURED WHEN LEFT UNATTENDED BECAUSE THE DOORS DO NOT STAY LOCKED, THUS PLACING IT AT ADDITIONAL RISK TO BE STOLEN. THE LOCKS ARE A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN TO MY FAMILY. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ON THE WEB, IT APPEARS THAT NUMEROUS 2007 HONDA CR-V'S HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE. *TR
UNABLE TO UNLOCK THE DRIVER DOOR AFTER PARKING CAR. TRIED USING UNLOCK BUTTON ON DOOR PANEL, UNLOCK BUTTON ON KEY AND TRIED MANUALLY USING KEY IN DRIVER DOOR LOCK. UNABLE TO OPEN DRIVER SIDE DOOR AT ALL. CLIMBED OVER TO PASSENGER SIDE TO EXIT CAR. UNABLE TO OPEN TAILGATE AUTOMATICALLY OR MANUALLY AS WELL. *TR
FRONT DRIVER DOOR IS LOCKED AND CAN'T OPEN FROM INSIDE USING REMOTE OR MANUALLY. CLIMBED OVER TO THE PASSENGER DOOR AND TRIED TO OPEN THE DRIVER DOOR FROM OUTSIDE ALSO UNABLE TO DO SO. I BROUGHT THE CAR THE DEALER WHO INFORMED ME THAT THIS WAS CAUSED BY A FAULTY DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR DEFECT. THE DEFECT POSES A SAFETY RISK SINCE THE DOOR LOCKING AND UNLOCKING FEATURES FAIL TO OPERATE CORRECTLY. UPON RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET, MANY CRV OWNERS EXPERIENCE THE SAME PROBLEM FOR CRV 2007-2010. HONDA IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND HAVE NEITHER RECALL OR COVER IT UNDER WARRANTY. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER'S SIDE DOORS FAILED TO LOCK OR UNLOCK WITHOUT MANUAL FORCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE IT WAS STATED THAT THE ACTUATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
LEFT REAR DOOR WILL NOT STAY LOCKED. *TR
I FIRST HAD TO REPLACE THE BACK PASSENGER DOOR LOCK (300 DOLLARS) DUE TO IT WOULD NOT LOCK AND CAR WAS UNLOCKED WHEN CARRYING GRANDKIDS... THIS MONTH THE LOCK HAS FAILED IN THE FRONT LOCKS....IF U TRY TO UNLOCK IT ...IT LOCKS BACK SO FAST YOU CANNOT GET THE DOOR OPENED....THAT IS A SAFETY HAZARD AS WHOEVER IS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SIDE CANNOT GET OUT...I AM HAVING TO SPEND ANOTHER 3 TO 4 HUNDRED DOLLARS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.....IT IS A KNOWN HONDA ISSUE AND THEY REFUSE TO RECALL OR ASSIST IN FIXING THE ISSUE....THERE IS A CLASS ACTION SUIT FOR THIS ISSUE... *TR
AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS WILL UNLOCK ON THEIR OWN. THIS OCCURS WHEN CAR IS PARKED (SO ANYONE CAN OPEN THE CAR AND STEAL IT OR ANYTHING IN THE CAR) AND WHILE DRIVING (WHICH MEANS EVEN IF YOU HAVE LOCKED THE DOORS A PASSENGER CAN OPEN THE DOOR WHILE THE CAR IS MOVING). *JS
ELECTRONIC DOOR LOCKS WON'T UNLOCK. HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE DOORS. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND IT IS COSTING HONDA CUSTOMERS A FORTUNE EACH TIME THEY HAVE TO GET THE DOOR LOCKS REPAIRED. *TT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CRV. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE POWER DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR CAUSED THE DOOR TO INDEPENDENTLY UNLOCK. IN ADDITION, THE LIFT GATE WOULD NOT RELEASE UPON ENGAGEMENT. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,000....UPDATED 10-24-13 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED AFTER THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LOCK WAS REPAIRED THE PASSENGER'S SIDE DOOR THEN FAILED A SHORT TIME LATER. UPDATED 11/1/2013 *JS
DOOR LOCK PROBLEM: DRIVER'S SIDE REAR DOOR INTERMITTENTLY DOES NOT LOCK. THIS OCCURS WHEN KEY FOB IS USED, WHEN POWER DOOR LOCK BUTTON IS USED, AND WHEN DOOR IS LOCKED MANUALLY. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE DRIVING, INTERMITTENTLY THE DOOR LOCKS AND UNLOCKS WITHIN SECONDS OF ITSELF. HONDA DEALER REPLACED ACTUATOR AS A NON-WARRANTY REPAIR. *TR
THE CRV LOCKS THE DOORS AND TAILGATE AUTOMATICALLY WHEN THE VEHICLE REACHES A CERTAIN SPEED. OUR CRV LOCKED ITSELF ACCORDING TO THIS PROTOCOL. WE THEN PARKED THE CAR, TURNED OFF THE IGNITION AND TRIED TO EXIT THE CAR. THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR WOULD NOT UNLOCK, AND THERE WAS NO WAY TO MANUALLY OVERRIDE THIS PROBLEM. WE EXITED VIA THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND THEN DISCOVERED THAT THE TAILGATE WAS ALSO JAMMED IN THE LOCKED POSITION. WE HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE DEALER WHO SOLD IT, AND HE HAS TOLD US THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO OVERRIDE THE LOCKING MECHANISM ONCE IT HAS JAMMED IN THE LOCKED POSITION. REPAIR WILL COST HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS BECAUSE THE PASSENGER FRONT DOOR HAS TO BE DIS-ASSEMBLED FROM THE INSIDE. THE ABSENCE OF A MANUAL OVERRIDE IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. WE COULD HAVE BEEN LOCKED IN THE CAR WITH NO WAY TO GET OUT!! THANKFULLY ONLY TWO OF THE FIVE LOCKS FAILED!!!! *TR
